Just a quick piece of health and safety advice for all, for which I apologise but which I feel would be beneficial as we kick off.
Please don't use full names, (ours or anyone else's) or publish any other information which could potentially be deemed as sensitive. (Remember that other people may consider things to be sensitive which you don't). Phone numbers, addresses, etc, all the obvious stuff, please keep that in the private email arena which we are all party to.
I don't think there's one of us who wouldn't be vulnerable to the predations of evil-minded little knobbers from one area or another, be that the public, the press, former students, former employees, clients etc and please always bear that in mind when publishing.
One last thing, remember that this is cyberspace and it is therefore potentially immortal, no matter how clever we think we are at deleting/removing things from the interweb. Just a word to the wise gents, your children/grandchildren/girlfriends/ex-girlfriends/wives/ex-wives/parents/humanoid clones could potentially be reading this 20/30/40 years down the line.
Point made, and I am confident that you were all fully up to speed with this beforehand, but it does make me feel big, clever, grown-up and important to say it first.
